COVID-19 restrictions do not loosen the strong networking between UPM and JeonBuk National University Korea. On 13th April 2021, another annual meeting between JBNU and UPM was held online via Zoom hosted by the prestigious university. Attended by the key players in student mobility and in internationalisation from JBNU is Prof. Mun Suk Ahn(The Vice President of JBNU), Prof. Dr. Jaewoo Shim(The Deputy Vice-President of Office of International Affairs), Prof. Dr. Zainal Abidin Talib (Adjunct Professor at JBNU),

Also joining from UPM is Prof. Dr. Suhaimi AB Rahman (The Director of PUTRA International Centre), YBhg. Dato’ Haji Rosdi Wah (Head of Administration for Academic and International, Academic Division UPM), Assoc. Prof. Ir. Hasfalina Che Man (Deputy Director of PUTRA International Centre), Mrs. NoraihanNordin (The Head of Administration of PUTRA International Centre), Ms. Yunha Park from (Office of International Affairs, JBNU) and Miss Nadia Zawani Hussin (The Head of Mobility of PUTRA International Centre).

The 90 minutes fruitful meeting discussing about mobility opportunities for both university such as JNBU willing to receive up to 30 students from UPM to undergo semester exchange programme begin spring semester, virtual programmes, internships, double degree proposal and few other items. In addition each university also shares students feedback and outcome from previous semester exchange programme and plan to boost promotional strategy to encourage more students to take up this amazing opportunity.

JBNU and UPM have become partner since 2019 and actively send and receiving students. JBNU is a prestigious university in Korea which offers wide range of faculty and courses and in the same time offers free accommodation to UPM’s exchange student and daily meals.
