SERDANG, August 9. Putra International Centre (i-PUTRA), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has received an official delegation visit from Universidad de Caruna, Spain today, to discuss cooperation opportunities with UPM.
The visit was led by Dr. Santiago Lopez Pineiro from Faculty of Architecture, Universidad de Caruna, Spain. Mr. Amador Ordonez Prime, International Projects Advisor from Ministry of Culture, Education and University Organization also present.
He hopes to have a program focusing on capacity building in environmental problems or projects between UPM and Universidad de Caruna, Spain.
Director of i-PUTRA UPM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zelina Zaiton Ibrahim, hopes that more students from both universities will take advantage of this collaborative initiative.
"I believe that with the cooperation between UPM and Universidad de Caruna, Spain, not only the number of students from the Spain has increased but also attracted more UPM students to study exchange programs in the Spain," he said.
It is hoped that this collaboration will attract more students both institutions to undergo student exchange programs (mobility and research) as well as various internationalization opportunities.
