
BENCHMARKING VISIT ON THE PUBLIC SECTOR CONDUCIVE ECOSYSTEM (EKSA) BY PUTRA INTERNATIONAL CENTRE (i-PUTRA) TO THE ACADEMIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT, UNIVERSITI MALAYA

A total of 19 staff members from the PUTRA International Centre (i-PUTRA), Universiti Putra Malaysia participated in a benchmarking visit on the Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem (EKSA) to the Academic Services Department, Universiti Malaya on 24 July 2025. The visit, which commenced at 9:00 a.m., aimed to provide exposure and facilitate the sharing of experiences in the implementation of EKSA at the departmental level.
Throughout the visit, the i-PUTRA delegation was briefed on the implementation of EKSA at the Academic Services Department, including the strategies adopted to create a conducive, systematic, and high-quality working environment. The knowledge-sharing session also covered the department's experiences and challenges in implementing EKSA, while highlighting the best practices that have been successfully adopted to promote a more efficient, organised, and high-performing workplace culture.
In addition, the visit provided the i-PUTRA staff with the opportunity to observe the implementation of EKSA first-hand through a guided tour of the department's workspaces. The delegation gained valuable insights into workspace organisation, documentation management, innovative initiatives, and continuous improvement practices, all of which served as inspiration for potential implementation within i-PUTRA.
This benchmarking visit is expected to strengthen the knowledge and understanding of i-PUTRA staff regarding EKSA implementation while serving as a platform to foster closer collaboration between Universiti Putra Malaysia and Universiti Malaya. The insights and best practices gained from this visit are anticipated to support i-PUTRA in enhancing its workplace management and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement towards achieving excellence in EKSA implementation.
