ERASMUS+ KA107 International Credit Mobility 2023-2024 under Alianza 4 Universidades (A4U) is now open for application. For the year 2023, in line with the European Mission to promote inclusivity to students joining the ERASMUS+ Program, student’s socio-economic backgrounds will also be taken into consideration during the selection process in which students from a more disadvantaged background will be prioritized during the selection process.

Alianza 4 Universities (A4U) is a strategic association of four Spanish public universities: Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. A4U has been securing funding for the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility programme since 2015. A4U runs Erasmus+ exchanges with leading universities in Russia, South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Iran, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Beginning in the year 2023, the European Union has introduced an initiative to encourage students, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds to participate in mobility programs. This initiative is introduced to promote inclusivity and allow students to broaden their horizons through the mobility program. The amount for the additional grant are:
1. Allowances Student Mobility: 850 €/month (Base Amount) + 250 €/month (Additional Grant)
2. Travel Allowances: 1500 € (Base Amount) + 530 € (Additional Grant)
In order to qualify for this top-up grant, the candidate will need to satisfy the criteria for inclusion and provide the information which needs to be sent along with the documents for the application. The criteria for this additional grant can be found below.
1. Disability or long-term illness
2. Belonging to a household that fell under the B40 income bracket after taking into consideration their expenditures. (Example: Applicant from single-parent families/Orphan, low-income household, etc)
3. Number of unemployed dependants in the household

Candidates nominated to A4U will be evaluated by the host university upon application submission. Please take note that a nomination does not guarantee a scholarship to be granted to the candidates.
