9th June 2022, i-PUTRA went to Kuala Lumpur City Center for a day trip with Prof. Dr. Halil Cakan from the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Cukurova University under the Erasmus+ programme. He is attached to the Faculty of Sciences, under the supervision of  Dr. Shahrizim Zulkifly and Prof. Dr. Rusea Go from the Biology Department. 

The meaningful trip with Prof. Dr. Halil Cakan started with picking up him at the hotel in the early morning. Kuala Lumpur to be vibrant, exciting city with an amazing food culture and famous with the affordable prices plus delicious. Therefore, we bring Prof. Dr. Halil for breakfast at Kampung Baru eating local delicacies of roti canai and Teh O. After that, we bring Prof. Dr. Halil to ECO Forest Park in Bukit Nenas in Kuala Lumpur for sight-seeing the forest in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Situated within the city, this rain forest has several nature trails and a forest canopy walkway. It is one of Malaysia’s oldest permanent forest reserves.

The third destination is the Petronas Twin Towers, the iconic twin building of Malaysia. Prof. Dr. Halil got a chance to experience Petronas Skybridge between the Twin Towers. The breath-taking city view from the glass wall of Skybridge was very astonishing for us which we recommend everyone to experience especially when in Kuala Lumpur. 

We are very grateful for Prof. Dr. Halil to experience Kuala Lumpur city which is very near to UPM. We hope that we get to see Prof. Dr. Halil again soon in the future.
