The NISWP programme is hosted by Putra International Center (i-PUTRA) for two (2) days. The programme's orientation took place on February 9, 2018 (Friday) and the visit to Melaka was held on the second day on 11 February 2018 (Sunday).

On the first day, the programme was held at Dewan Kuliah Ekonomi Pusat 1 (DKEP1), Faculty of Economics and Management, UPM and started with registration session at 8.00am. The programme ended at 5.00pm. The programme provide understanding of the administrative system, teaching management, exposure to the rules and the cultural environment of the campus which are also among the objective of the programme.

The programme to Melaka's Historical City was conducted by i-PUTRA in collaboration with 22 undergraduate and graduate local and international students Buddies Association UPM as an assistant in coordinating the programme as well as the intermediation between international students and UPM management. Bandar Hilir Melaka was chosen as a destination for the NISWP programme to introduce Malaysia for its location being recognized as a UNESCO world heritage city and cultural diversity in Malaysia.
