Kuala Lumpur, 08 September 2019. Putra International Centre (i-PUTRA), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) together with UPM Buddies has conducted the trip to Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur for international students. The trip was joined by 195 students, 22 UPM Buddies and 4 staff from i-PUTRA. The purpose of the visit was to provide students with an awareness of the surroundings that can be visited while getting to know Malaysia from a variety of angles. Student registration started at 8.30 am and students are served breakfast before embarking on the journey. The journey begins with a tour of the campus and around residential colleges before they were brought to Putrajaya to see the architecture of the administrative buildings in Malaysia, Putrajaya Mosque and its surrounding area.

The activity continued with a tour around Kuala Lumpur where the first destination the students were brought to was the National Monument where the students enjoyed their lunch there. The students were then brought to the National Museum to get a closer look at Malaysian history.

The tour continued with a visit to Dataran Merdeka, Central Market and Jamek Mosque and surrounding areas. Students were also given the opportunity to shop and experience the beauty of Malaysian culture there.

Hopefully, this visit will serve as an early exposure for students to get the relevant information to navigate around Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur.
