

UPM Strengthens Global Presence at Global Education Conclave 2026, India
Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), through the Putra International Centre (i-PUTRA), proudly participated in the Global Education Conclave 2026, held in India from 26 to 28 March 2026.
Representing UPM, PLC. Gs. Ts. Dr. Mohammad Mujaheed Hassan actively contributed as a panelist in the session titled “Leadership in the EduVerse: Reimagining the Role of Academic Visionaries.” The session brought together distinguished global experts to deliberate on the evolving role of academic leadership in navigating a rapidly transforming, digitally integrated global education ecosystem.
In his presentation, Dr. Mohammad Mujaheed highlighted the concept of the EduVerse as an integrated global higher education ecosystem, emphasising the importance of strategic global networks, digital integration, and sustainable partnerships. The presentation underscored UPM’s approach in cultivating future-ready graduates through international mobility, interdisciplinary collaboration, and leadership development aligned with global sustainability agendas.
A key milestone of UPM’s participation was the formalisation of a strategic collaboration with Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC University). This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to advancing academic cooperation, including student mobility initiatives, joint programmes, and knowledge exchange, thereby strengthening UPM’s global partnership portfolio.
The conclave served as a strategic platform for:

• Exploring opportunities in student mobility, academic collaboration, and joint initiatives
• Showcasing UPM’s commitment to global engagement and academic leadership
Throughout the programme, engagements with international institutions opened avenues for further collaboration, particularly in short-term mobility programmes, academic exchange, and collaborative research initiatives.
