Health is the most important for our physical, mental and emotional well-being. There are no pill replacement for being active. Many of students might opted for cheaper or free workout on the daily. Although running and walking can be a good option but one must consider the gear to do those activities such as shoe and comfortable clothes might get expensive. Safety is another consideration too. Running or walking might be dangerous for some due to robbery or stray dogs. Student can still get a good workout from home/dorm rooms.
What is your goal?
First or foremost, the student need to setup goal. What do you really want? Is it fat-loss? Strength? Or just a general health maintenance? Setting up your goal will help your progress and keep your motivation going
Moving as much as possible
Many of us in this era stick the eye to the screen either your pc, laptop or mobile phones. Even at home, students can still incorporate daily movement such as static lunges or bodyweight squats to keep one accountable. It will be an advantage if your accommodation have stairs and you can walk up and down from time to time.
More bodyweight movement
Youtube, Instagram and TikTok have endless of exercises that can be done at home. Do note, it may get overwhelming due to high volume of videos. Youtube in the other hand, is more focus and you can choose the difficulties according to your fitness level.
Dedicating your day to fitness is a great way to get yourself healthy for current and future benefit. Like World of Heath Organization, suggested to work 150-minutes per week, 70-minutes of intensity exercises and two times strength training. Start slow until your body get used to it.
