6 July 2023 - Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) warmly welcomed a delegation from the Bulacan Agriculture State College (BASC) on the 6th of July, 2023. The BASC delegation, led by the esteemed Dr. Jameson H. Tan, President of Bulacan Agriculture State College, and accompanied by Dr. Ronald Reagan T. Alonzo, Vice President of Administration, Finance, and Business Affairs.The visit, aimed at exploring potential collaborative opportunities between the two institutions, proved to be an enriching experience for both parties.

The event commenced at 1:00 P.M. in the Main Meeting Room at the Faculty of Agriculture Dean's Office, where UPM's Deputy Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Natrah Ikhsan, had the honour of chairing the meeting.To set the tone for the visit, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Syazwani Idrus, Deputy Director of PUTRA International Centre (i-PUTRA), extended a warm welcome, expressing UPM's delight at the potential collaboration with BASC. The representatives from both universities proceeded to deliver engaging presentations, shedding light on their respective institutions' remarkable achievements and areas of expertise.

During the interactive sessions, ideas for future collaborations were enthusiastically discussed, including faculty exchange programs, joint research ventures, and opportunities for student mobility. BASC delegates presented their college's commendable commitment to sustainable agricultural practices and community engagement, while UPM highlighted its significant contributions to agricultural advancements and global research partnerships.

To offer BASC delegates a closer look at UPM's state-of-the-art facilities and research capabilities, a visit to the labs and museum at the Faculty of Agriculture was arranged. The delegation also enjoyed a Campus Tour led by i-PUTRA, showcasing UPM's picturesque campus and vibrant academic community. The visit concluded on a warm note, with a short refreshment session at PUTRA International Centre (i-PUTRA) at 3:00 P.M. The informal setting allowed for further interactions between the BASC delegation and UPM faculty members, paving the way for potential future collaboration
