SERDANG, 2 August - Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) was honoured to host a distinguished delegation from Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi (STIE) Bangkinang, Indonesia. The delegation, consisting of 57 members and led by Dr. H. Zulher, Chairman of STIE Bangkinang, visited UPM to foster academic collaboration and explore potential partnerships.

The visit commenced at 9:30 AM with a warm welcome from Associate Professor Dr. Che Azurahanim Che Abdullah, Deputy Director of i-PUTRA. In her opening remarks, Dr. Che Azurahanim highlighted the importance of international academic exchanges and UPM's commitment to fostering global partnerships.

Following the welcome address, Dr. H. Zulher, representing STIE Bangkinang, delivered a speech outlining the institution's history, academic programs, and the objectives behind their visit. Dr. H. Zulher provided further insights into STIE’s initiatives and expressed enthusiasm about potential collaborative opportunities with UPM. Dr. H. Zulher introduced STIE Bangkinang in-depth, detailing the institution’s academic focus and achievements. This was followed by a briefing on the international postgraduate admission process at UPM, presented by Dr. Che Azurahanim. The session provided valuable information on UPM’s offerings for international students and the support services available to them.

The highlight of the visit was a mini campus tour, during which the delegates explored UPM’s key academic facilities, showcased the university’s infrastructure, and experienced vibrant campus life. The visit concluded with a light lunch at KMR One PUTRA.

This visit marks a significant step in strengthening the academic ties between UPM and STIE Bangkinang, paving the way for future collaborations and exchanges that will benefit both institutions and their students.
