Tuesday, 5th July 2022, i-PUTRA had the opportunity to undertake benchmarking visit with UNIMAS Global office and to discuss exploring potential collaboration between both institutions on leveraging the existing international & local students for special programs (students exchange, Edutourism, staff exchange etc), sharing university’s best practices for integrating international and local students, and promoting intercultural interaction.

Receiving the i-PUTRA team were Ms. Ivy Rigar (Head of Mobility and International Relations Unit), Mr. Boniface Banta(Head of Internationalisation and Strategic Relations), Mr. Mohd Ilham Abdullah (Head of International Students Affairs Unit), Ms. Carlina Natalia (Head of international Students Recruitment Unit), Mdm. Noor Azfa Sheblee (Asst. Administrative Officer, Mobility and Edutourism).

The benchmarking visit later continued with a visit to UNIMAS’s potential research centres, sports arena, and a comprehensive campus tour. It is amazing to see facilities provided by UNIMAS for the local and international students where we can learn from and improve our services. The visit was also added with a brief explanation of the campus tour such as the usage, purpose and history of the buildings. It makes us understand more about the campus.

We would like to thank UNIMAS for the opportunity given and the warm hospitality and look forward to the collaboration works that shall be undertaken soon.
