10th of February - As the curtain to the First Semester of 2022/2023 comes to a close, i-PUTRA took the opportunity to celebrate the inbound mobility students’ First Semester 2022/2023 by holding a farewell ceremony to celebrate their journey at UPM.
The programme was held on the 10th of February 2023 at the Glass Suite Bora Ombak. Marina Putrajaya. was also attended by the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic and International, Prof Dr Ismi Arif Ismail, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Research and Innovation, Prof Dr Nazamid Saari, and Chief Librarian Mr. Mahbob Yusof. The three-hour event opened with a performance by Janelle Lee Sze Ean from the Faculty of Human Ecology who performed a medley of Songs from P. Ramlee followed by a welcoming speech by the Director of Putra International Centre, Prof Dr Suhaimi Ab Rahman and the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic and International., Prof Dr ISmi Arif Ismail before the dinner begins. Various delicious Traditional Malay cuisines were prepared such as Butter Pillaf Rice, Char Broiled Chicken, Squid cooked in Chili Paste cooked with Petai and various desserts. The Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic and International along with the i-PUTRA director took this opportunity to connect with the students by serving delicious cuisines to the students.

i-PUTRA also took this opportunity to acknowledge the students’ achievements during their semester exchange at UPM with a certificate giving ceremony given by the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic and International, Prof Dr Ismi Arif Ismail, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Research and Innovation, Prof Dr Nazamid Saari, accompanied by i-PUTRA director, Prof Dr Suhaimi Ab Rahman. Various performances such as Bollywood Dance and traditional Malay song and dances were performed for the entertainment of the student during the event. Four (4) inbound mobility students from South Africa, Japan, Indonesia, and Germany were invited to share their inbound mobility experiences during their semester exchange at UPM.

The program concluded around 11 P.M with a flash mob joined by all the inbound mobility students. The conclusion of the event officially draws the curtain for the inbound mobility semester exchange to a close. While their time at UPM might be short, we hope that the memories of their experience at UPM will continue to live on.
