5th September 2022, i- PUTRA received a visit from Dr. Guido Schnieders the Director German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Regional Office Jakarta. The objective of the meeting is for DAAD to promote available scholarship that they offered to UPM, from full time scholarships study in German to student mobility programme activities.

The meeting was chaired by our Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. Ismi Arif Ismail together with Prof.Suhaimi Ab Rahman, the Director of i-PUTRA, Dr.Amir Rizaaan a senior Lecturer at Faculty of Computer Science and Technology, Madam Noraihan Noordin (the Head of i-PUTRA), Mrs Ida Suhaila (The Head of Global Engagement) and Miss Nadia Zawani (The Head of Mobility).

As the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia Blueprint 2021-2025 aim to increase enrolment of student from outside country to Malaysia, it is crucial for Universiti Putra Malaysia to form partnerships across neighbouring country that directly contributing to development of higher education in Malaysia. We also aggressively promote UPM internationally as we have the quality product that students, educators and stakeholders that fit their needs and moving towards on becoming high-ranking university.

The two hours fruitful meeting with Regional Office Jakarta ended in the noon by securing on few potential activities.
