The saying, “a clean home is a happy home,” is equally applicable to the workplace. A positive and orderly working environment is essential not only for the well-being of the staff but also for enhancing work quality and fostering a sustainable atmosphere.

Recognising this significance, the PUTRA International Centre (i-PUTRA) successfully initiated the inaugural “Gotong-Royong” Programme, or GORO 1.0, on April 18, 2025. This initiative was implemented in preparation for the Workplace Environmental Quality Award evaluation under the Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem (Ekosistem Kondusif Sektor Awam, EKSA) initiative.

Conducted every Friday, the programme encourages staff collaboration to improve cleanliness, organisation, and overall workplace quality in accordance with EKSA standards. In addition to i-PUTRA’s preparations for the forthcoming first Internal Audit for the Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem, this weekly initiative also facilitates benchmarking visits from other faculties and universities in June, thereby promoting a culture of excellence and shared learning.
