Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque is the second largest mosque in Putrajaya beside Putra Mosque. It is also known as the Iron Mosque (masjid besi) due to it’s infrastructure and color in silver. The mosque can cater up to 24,000 pilgrims during Solaat Juma’ah and prayers during Islamic festives. The admission to enter is free and it is required that male and female should wear modesty during entering the mosque. Female are required to wear headscarf and cover whole body except for face and hands. When entering the mosque, the visitors will feel somewhat ‘lifted’ due to its airy and high ceiling structure using air cooling technology that are very different from the main Putra Mosque.
