The journey began with participants gathering at Serumpun Bus Stop before heading to KLIA Terminal 1 for a morning flight to Taoyuan International Airport, Taiwan. Upon arrival, the group cleared immigration and enjoyed lunch before checking into the hotel. In the evening, participants explored the vibrant Xinyi District, experiencing the city’s modern atmosphere and having dinner nearby. The day concluded with a group briefing session to prepare for the upcoming academic visit to Ming Chuan University.
The second day focused on academic engagement, beginning with breakfast at the hotel followed by a visit to Ming Chuan University (MCU), where participants attended scheduled activities and lectures arranged by the host institution. After lunch at MCU, participants returned to the hotel for rest or light personal activities. In the late afternoon, the group took part in a meaningful community project with Ark Association, involving meal preparation and food distribution to the public at Taipei Main Station, reinforcing values of social responsibility and empathy.
Day three offered a blend of financial education and cultural immersion. The group began with a visit to the Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation (TWSE), where participants gained valuable insights into Taiwan’s financial systems and market operations. After lunch, they proceeded to National Taiwan University (NTU) for campus exploration and informal cultural exchange. The evening was spent enjoying the iconic Shilin Night Market, where participants immersed themselves in Taiwan’s lively night scene and sampled local delicacies.
Participants started the day with a visit to the Malaysian Friendship and Trade Center (MFTC), where they engaged in activities highlighting Malaysia’s diplomatic and economic presence in Taiwan. After lunch, they headed to National Chengchi University (NCCU) for an academic visit and further exposure to Taiwan’s higher education landscape. In the evening, the group explored Ximending, a dynamic youth and shopping district, allowing for cultural exploration and relaxation through a free-and-easy walking tour.
On the final day, participants had breakfast and checked out from the hotel before heading to Dongmen District for a casual morning stroll and lunch. The group then departed for Taoyuan International Airport, arriving with ample time for dinner and final reflections. The flight back to Kuala Lumpur departed in the evening, with participants arriving at KLIA by midnight and returning to UPM early in the morning, bringing the memorable and enriching EOPIT experience to a close.
